NPFL: Warri Wolves secure first away win of the season against Katsina United

Newly promoted Warri Wolves Football Club claimed their first away victory of the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season on Sunday, edging Katsina United 1-0 at the Muhammadu Dikko Stadium.
Forward Igbunu Evwierhurhoma was the hero of the day, netting the decisive goal in the 76th minute to hand the Seasiders all three points in a tightly contested clash.
Reacting to the victory, the Chairman of the Delta State Sports Commission, Hon. Onoriode Oborevwori, praised the players and technical crew for their determination and resilience. He further attributed the success to the unwavering backing of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, whose administration has consistently invested in sports development across Delta State.

The victory represents a significant milestone for Warri Wolves, who recently returned to the NPFL after securing promotion.
The team will now shift focus to their next challenge a home fixture against Enugu Rangers on August 31 at the Southern Delta University Stadium, Ozoro, where fans are expected to come out in large numbers to support the side.
