Outrage as mortuary attendant caught using human leg as walking stick in Benue

Residents of Agwabi community in Buruku Local Government Area of Benue State were left in shock after a mortuary attendant, identified as Amaobi, was arrested over a disturbing incident.
The suspect, who works at a local mortuary, was apprehended by operatives of the Benue State Police Command on Friday morning after he was allegedly caught engaging in highly inappropriate behavior.
According to reports, Amaobi was seen using part of a corpse from the morgue in a shocking and disrespectful manner. The situation reportedly escalated when he took it outside the facility to a nearby shop while attempting to purchase items, drawing the attention of residents.

This unusual act, according to reports, drew the attention of the community, and it eventually led to his arrest by the youths.
Upon the arrival of police officers, Amaobi, in his confession, claimed that his action was a demonstration meant to draw people’s attention.
According to him, he was trying to get support so he could appeal to the government for help, especially to evacuate over 18 criminal dead bodies reportedly killed last year by security operatives and deposited in his mortuary.
