NPFL to honour Ogunmodede, Yusuf in Abuja awards ceremony

The Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) has announced that Remo Stars head coach Daniel Ogunmodede and Nasarawa United striker Anas Yusuf will be formally honoured on September 2, 2025, in Abuja as part of its newly restructured awards initiative.
The recognition, originally scheduled for earlier in the summer, was postponed due to the duo’s involvement with the CHAN Eagles.
Yusuf capped off an outstanding campaign as the league’s top scorer with 18 goals, cementing his reputation as one of the most lethal forwards in the NPFL. On the other hand, Ogunmodede masterminded a historic season for Remo Stars, guiding the club to their first-ever NPFL title—a landmark achievement in Nigerian club football.

Both winners will each receive ₦1.5 million in cash alongside a commemorative plaque to celebrate their achievements.
