Tension as gunmen kill Ondo hotelier

The Chief Executive Officer of Klass Five Hotel, Adesoji Johnson Adeleye, has been brutally assassinated in the early hours of Tuesday at his residence in the Arakale area of Akure, the Ondo State capital.

A close friend of the deceased, who spoke under condition of anonymity, revealed that they had spent Monday night together, making the news of his gruesome murder by stabbing all the more shocking. Adeleye was reportedly stabbed multiple times by unknown assailants, who fled the scene before help could arrive.

Confirming the incident, the spokesperson of the Ondo State Police Command, Alexander Olayinka, disclosed that the case has been transferred to the state police headquarters for a discreet and thorough investigation.
