Tragically, the Nigerian movie industry mourned the loss of her only son, Shina Omobolanle, who passed away shortly after completing his National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) program.

Shina was considered the pride of his mother, who frequently celebrated his achievements both privately and publicly. His death was a profound personal loss for Peju and her family.
