Nigeria’s Super Eagles are gearing up for a high-profile showdown this May as they join Jamaica, Ghana, and Trinidad & Tobago at the 2025 Unity Cup Invitational Tournament, scheduled to hold at the Gtech Community Stadium in Brentford, West London.

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) confirmed the participation of the three-time African champions in a statement released on Thursday. The four-nation event will serve as a warm-up platform ahead of the Super Eagles’ crucial FIFA World Cup qualifying matches in September.

The tournament kicks off on Tuesday, 27th May, with Trinidad & Tobago taking on Jamaica in the opening semi-final. On Wednesday, 28th May, Nigeria will renew their historic rivalry with Ghana in the second semi-final — a clash that rekindles a football feud that spans over 74 years between the West African giants.

Action will resume on Saturday, 31st May, with the third-place match followed by the tournament final, where the 2025 Unity Cup champions will be crowned.

NFF President, Alhaji Ibrahim Musa Gusau, described the Unity Cup as a vital opportunity for the Super Eagles to strengthen team cohesion and test tactical strategies ahead of their World Cup qualification campaign.

With the matches set to take place in the 17,250-capacity Gtech Community Stadium, Nigerian fans in the diaspora and football lovers alike can expect thrilling encounters filled with flair, pride, and continental rivalry.
