Arsenal handed injury boost as Havertz nears return, Jorginho also close to comeback

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has delivered a welcome update for Gunners fans, confirming that Kai Havertz could return to action before the end of the season.

The news comes as a significant boost as Arsenal continue their push for European and domestic success.

Havertz, who has been sidelined since January with a hamstring injury, was initially expected to miss the remainder of the campaign. However, his recovery has progressed faster than anticipated, and Arteta is now hopeful the German forward could feature later this month—possibly in time to contribute to Arsenal’s quest for a spot in the UEFA Champions League final.

“We’re very pleased with how Kai’s rehabilitation has gone,” Arteta said. “There’s a real chance we’ll see him back before the season ends.”

In further positive news, Arteta also revealed that Italian midfielder Jorginho is nearing full fitness after being out of action for several weeks with an undisclosed issue. His return would provide much-needed depth in midfield during a critical run of fixtures.

Arsenal face Bournemouth at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday evening, knowing that a win would all but confirm their place in next season’s Champions League.
