APC releases timetable for 2027 primaries, reveals prices for nomination form

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has announced its official timetable for the 2027 general election primaries, including details on when nomination forms will be available for interested aspirants.

According to the schedule released by the party, the sale of nomination forms will begin on Saturday, April 25, and end on Saturday, May 2, 2026. The forms will be sold at the APC National Secretariat.

The party also announced the dates for its primaries across various elective positions, beginning with the presidential primary scheduled for Friday, May 15 and Saturday, May 16, 2026.

Other primary election dates include the House of Representatives on Monday, May 18; the Senate on Wednesday, May 20; State House of Assembly on Thursday, May 21; and governorship on Saturday, May 23, 2026.

The APC fixed the total cost of forms as follows: House of Assembly aspirants will pay ₦6 million, House of Representatives ₦10 million, Senate ₦20 million, governorship ₦50 million, and presidential aspirants ₦100 million.

The development sets the stage for what is expected to be a highly competitive internal contest within the ruling party ahead of the 2027 general elections.
