President Federation cup quarter-finals set to decide semi-finalists this weekend

The race for this year’s President Federation Cup title heats up as quarter-final fixtures are scheduled to take place this weekend across various venues in Nigeria, with four teams set to book their place in the semi-finals.
Akwa United will take on Kwara United at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium in Enugu on Saturday. The Uyo-based club, nicknamed the Promise Keepers, are aiming to secure their third FA Cup title in a decade.
Meanwhile, giant slayers Abakaliki FC, who have captured national attention with their surprise run, will face Nasarawa United in Benin City. Wikki Tourists of Bauchi are set to clash with Ikorodu City in Abuja in another intriguing match-up.

The final fixture of the round sees Plateau United of Jos battle Rangers International of Enugu, also in Abuja, in what promises to be a thrilling encounter.
Due to the President Federation Cup fixtures, there will be no matches in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) this weekend. League action is expected to resume on Wednesday.
The eventual winner of the President Federation Cup will earn the right to represent Nigeria in next season’s CAF Confederation Cup, adding further stakes to an already intense competition.
