VP Shettima commissions Sulaiman Adegunwa Trauma Centre in Ogun

Just hours after returning from Senegal where he represented President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the country’s 65th Independence Anniversary celebrations, Vice President Kashim Shettima has embarked on another national assignment—this time to Shagamu, Ogun State.
The Vice President is in the state to commission the Sulaiman Adebola Adegunwa Trauma Centre at the Olabisi Onabanjo University Teaching Hospital (OOUTH).
The commissioning ceremony also serves as part of activities marking the 80th birthday of Asiwaju Sulaiman A. Adegunwa, former Chairman of Sterling Bank Plc and CEO of Essay Holdings Limited, parent company of Rite Foods Limited.

He is joined at the event by Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, who plays host to dignitaries and stakeholders from the health and public sectors.
The state-of-the-art trauma centre is a collaborative initiative between the Sulaiman Adebola Adegunwa Foundation and the Board and Management of OOUTH, aimed at strengthening emergency healthcare delivery in Ogun and neighboring states.
The project is being widely hailed as a milestone contribution to the state’s health infrastructure and a testament to public-private partnership in addressing critical healthcare needs.
