Governor Bago dissolves cabinet, retains SSG, others

Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago of Niger State has announced the dissolution of his cabinet, signaling a major shake-up in the state’s executive leadership.
The announcement was made during the State Executive Council meeting held at the Council Chamber of the Government House, Minna. While addressing members of the dissolved cabinet, Governor Bago expressed appreciation for their service and contributions toward the growth and development of Niger State. He also wished them success in their future endeavors.

However, the governor clarified that the dissolution does not affect all government officials. Key aides including the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), the Chief of Staff, the Deputy Chief of Staff, and other principal officers directly attached to his office will remain in their positions.
