President Tinubu approves leadership reshuffle in River Basin Authorities

President Bola Tinubu has approved a series of leadership changes within the River Basin Development Authorities, which operate under the Federal Ministry of Water Resources.
In a statement released on Friday, presidential spokesperson Bayo Onanuga announced key appointments aimed at enhancing efficiency in the sector.
Mr. Sowade Adebayo has been appointed as the new Executive Director of Engineering Services at the Ogun-Osun River Basin Development Authority, Abeokuta, replacing Mr. Julius Oloro.

Similarly, at the Niger Delta River Basin Development Authority, Mr. Chucks Erhire has been named the new Executive Director of Engineering Services, succeeding Dr. Austin Izagbo.
Additionally, Mr. Sunday Hassan has been selected as the Executive Director of Planning for the Lower Benue River Basin Development Authority, succeeding Mr. Chris Tarka. Meanwhile, Mr. Okibe Timothy will continue in his current role as the Executive Director of Engineering at the same authority.
President Tinubu urged the newly appointed officials to demonstrate integrity and excellence in their roles as they contribute to improving water management and advancing rural development across the country.
