Senate receives Tinubu’s nomination of Zainab Marwa for NDDC board seat

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has transmitted the nomination of Dr. Zainab Marwa to the Senate for confirmation as a member of the Governing Board of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), representing the North East zone.
The nomination was conveyed in a letter read during plenary by the Senate President, noting that the appointment is in line with the provisions of the NDDC Establishment Act.
According to the President, the nomination is aimed at filling the vacancy left by Hon. Abdulrazak Namdas, who resigned from the board on March 30, 2026, to pursue his governorship ambition in Adamawa State.

Tinubu expressed confidence that the Senate would give the nomination swift consideration and confirmation to ensure continuity in the commission’s developmental mandate across the Niger Delta region.
Following the reading of the letter, the nomination was referred to the Senate Committee on NDDC for screening and further legislative action.
