Man accused of killing NYSC member in Nasarawa pleads not guilty

At a hearing held at the High Court in Lafia on Monday, 32-year-old Timileyin Ajayi denied allegations of murdering and dismembering Salome Adaidu, a National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) member in Nasarawa State, by pleading not guilty.
Ajayi initially pleaded guilty before Justice Simon Aboki of the Nasarawa State High Court. However, after consulting with his lawyer, he reversed his plea to not guilty.

The Nasarawa State Government officially took over the prosecution of the case on March 10, 2025. As the trial commenced, the prosecution presented four witnesses to testify before the court. The case continues to draw significant public attention as the legal proceedings unfold.
