The Lagos State Police Command has arrested a 25-year-old woman for allegedly orchestrating a robbery against her boyfriend, enlisting her younger brother and an accomplice to carry out the crime.

The gang reportedly stole three iPhones and bitcoins valued at approximately ₦15 million.

Confirming the arrest on Saturday, the command’s spokesperson, CSP Benjamin Hundeyin, stated that the case was first reported at the Okota Police Division on February 17.

Investigations led to the identification and apprehension of the suspects, shedding light on how the woman allegedly conspired with her accomplices to carry out the theft.

Upon receiving the report, the woman was apprehended,” Hundeyin said.

He further disclosed that following her confession, officers tracked down and arrested her 22-year-old brother.
“Both of them confessed to the crime,” he added.

According to Hundeyin, law enforcement recovered all three stolen phones and a sum of N6.5 million, which has been secured as evidence.

He also noted that efforts are ongoing to apprehend other individuals involved in the crime.
