New APC secretariat coming soon, says Tinubu

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has revealed that the All Progressives Congress (APC) will soon have a new national secretariat in Abuja, marking a significant development for the ruling party’s administrative structure.
The announcement came during the 14th National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting of the APC, held on Thursday at the State House Conference Centre. President Tinubu stated that plans are underway to secure a suitable piece of land for the construction of a permanent and befitting headquarters for the party.
“We’ll look for an appropriate land to build a befitting secretariat,” Tinubu said, emphasizing the need for the party to establish a stronger institutional base. However, he did not disclose any financial estimates or timelines for the project.

The APC’s current headquarters, named Muhammadu Buhari House, is located at 40 Blantyre Street, Wuse II. Acquired in 2021 at the cost of N2.5 billion, the building was named after former President Muhammadu Buhari by the party’s Caretaker/Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee.
While the last NEC meeting was held at the Muhammadu Buhari House, Thursday’s emergency gathering took place at the Presidential Villa, marking a notable shift in venue amid discussions on the party’s future.
