Tinubu commissions key components of Abuja water supply network

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Monday, June 16, marked a significant milestone in the Federal Capital Territory’s infrastructure development by officially commissioning major components of the FCT Water Supply Network.
The commissioned segments—Loops 1, 2, 5, and 6—are part of a broader initiative executed by the FCT Administration aimed at expanding access to clean and safe water across Abuja.
The commissioning ceremony, held in Abuja, was attended by top political figures including the Minister of the FCT, Nyesom Wike; APC National Chairman, Abdullahi Ganduje; and the Minister of State for FCT, Mariya Mahmoud.
The project is located on the Abuja Airport Road, along the China Chambers of Commerce building.
This particular commissioning comes days after the president had inaugurated several other initiatives within the FCT.

One of these projects includes the rehabilitation of the International Conference Centre, Abuja.
The rehabilitation project was also carried out by the FCTA under the leadership of Nyesom Wike, the minister of the FCT.
The process which cost N39 billion caused outrage among some leaders of the country, including Peter Obi who believes the money could have been invested into key sectors like education or health.
