NUJ FCT chairman Grace Ike celebrated as transformative leader on birthday

Tributes have continued to pour in for the Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), FCT Council, Grace Ike, as she marks her birthday on March 24, 2026, with admirers describing her as a transformative leader and trailblazer in the media industry.

In a statement released in Abuja, Evelyn Onyilo, Publisher of Phenomenal People Magazine and former President of the Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ), praised Ike for breaking barriers and redefining leadership within the journalism profession.

Onyilo noted that Ike made history as the first female chairman of the NUJ FCT Council in over four decades, describing her emergence as a major milestone for women in media and leadership.
