Niger Gov Bago appoints Emir of Agaie as Amirul Hajj for 2026 pilgrimage

Niger State Governor, Farmer Mohammed Umaru Bago, has approved the appointment of the Emir of Agaie, His Royal Highness Alhaji Yusuf Nuhu, as the State’s Amirul Hajj for the 2026 pilgrimage.
The announcement was made in a statement by the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Alhaji Abubakar Usman, who explained that the selection of the first-class traditional ruler was based on his proven record of hard work, dedication, patriotism, and integrity.

Governor Bago congratulated the newly appointed Amirul Hajj and prayed for God’s guidance as he undertakes the important responsibility of leading the state’s pilgrims during the 2026 Hajj.
