FCT police mourn Arise News Journalist, pledges swift action

The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has extended its condolences to the family, friends, and colleagues of Arise News journalist, Ms. Somtochukwu Christelle Maduagwu, who tragically lost her life during an armed robbery at her residence in Katampe, Abuja, on Monday, September 29, 2025.
Commissioner of Police, CP Ajao Adewale, described the incident as a cruel and senseless act. He confirmed that a discreet and comprehensive investigation has been launched, with intelligence and operational teams deployed to track and apprehend those responsible.

The FCT Police Command also reassured residents of its unwavering commitment to public safety and called on members of the public to provide any information that could assist in the investigation.
