Super Eagles set for high-profile clash against Russia in Moscow

Nigeria’s Super Eagles are gearing up for a blockbuster international friendly against Russia, scheduled for June 6 at Moscow’s iconic Luzhniki Stadium.
The encounter will mark the Russian national team’s return to their main football arena for the first time since their goalless draw with Croatia during the 2021 World Cup qualifiers.
The match promises to be a thrilling showdown, offering both nations an opportunity to fine-tune their squads ahead of future competitive fixtures.

Before heading to Moscow, the Super Eagles will participate in the much-anticipated Unity Cup — an Afro-Caribbean international football tournament making a comeback after 20 years. The tournament, featuring Nigeria, Ghana, Jamaica, and Trinidad and Tobago, will take place at Brentford’s Gtech Community Stadium in London.
Nigeria will face fierce rivals Ghana in the second semi-final on May 28, setting the stage for another chapter in the historic rivalry between the two West African giants.
Fans are eagerly awaiting both matches, which promise to offer exciting football and critical preparation time for the Super Eagles.
