IGP approves posting of 6 new Deputy Inspectors-General to key departments

The Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Kayode Egbetokun, has approved the posting of six newly appointed Deputy Inspectors-General of Police (DIGs) to strategic departments within the Nigeria Police Force to enhance operational efficiency and strengthen security nationwide.
According to a statement by the Force Public Relations Officer, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, the redeployments are part of the IGP’s commitment to improving police effectiveness across the country.
Under the new assignments:

– DIG Sadiq Idris Abubakar will head the Force Criminal Investigation Department (FCID).
– DIG Benjamin Nebolisa Okolo takes charge of the Force Intelligence Department.
– DIG Williams Adebowale now leads the ICT Department.
– DIG Bzigu Yakubu Kwazi assumes control of Operations.
– DIG Adebola Hamzat will oversee Logistics and Supply.
– DIG Idegwu Basil Okuoma takes charge of Research and Planning.
– Additionally, DIG Sahabo Abubakar Yahaya has been reassigned to head the Department of Finance and Administration.
IGP Egbetokun expressed confidence in their abilities and reaffirmed his commitment to strategic deployments that will enhance security operations and ensure the safety of all Nigerians.
