Djokovic cruises into Wimbledon Third Round as title quest gains momentum

Seven-time Wimbledon champion Novak Djokovic showcased his trademark dominance on Centre Court as he breezed past Britain’s Dan Evans in straight sets — 6-3, 6-2, 6-0 — to book his place in the third round of the 2025 Championships.
The 38-year-old Serbian maestro delivered a flawless performance, particularly on serve, leaving Evans struggling to find answers. Djokovic’s display was a reminder of his enduring class and hunger as he eyes a record-equalling eighth Wimbledon men’s singles title — a feat currently held by Swiss legend Roger Federer.
A win at SW19 this year would also see Djokovic clinch a historic 25th Grand Slam title, pushing him further ahead in the all-time major tally and solidifying his status as one of the greatest players in tennis history.

Meanwhile, top seed Jannik Sinner continued his blistering form with a ruthless 6-1, 6-1, 6-3 win over Australia’s Aleksandar Vukic. The Italian star is on the hunt for his maiden Wimbledon crown and looked every bit the contender as he powered through in just under two hours.
