Akorede Babatunde Okunola, popularly known as Saheed Osupa or King Saheed Osupa (K.S.O.), is a celebrated Nigerian Fuji singer, actor, and pioneer of the Hip Fuji genre.
Over the years, Osupa has grown to become one of the most respected and prolific figures in the Nigerian music industry.

Background
Born on August 7, 1969, in the Mosafejo area of Ajegunle, Lagos State, Osupa has become a dominant force in the Nigerian music industry since launching his professional career in 1983.
Although born in Lagos, Osupa was raised in Ibadan, Oyo State. His musical roots trace back to his father, Moshood Ajiwere Layeye, a respected Wéré musician and cousin to the late Fuji legend, Ayinde Barrister.
He attended Amuwo Odofin High School in Lagos, graduating in 1987, before earning a National Diploma in Business Administration from The Polytechnic, Ibadan, in 1992.
He also studied Networking Operations at the American International College.
Musical journey
Osupa debuted as a Fuji artist with his first album Fuji Fa Disco, followed by Fuji Blues.
Over the years, he has released more than 40 albums, including the iconic Mr. Music, a 4-in-1 compilation. In 2008, Ayinde Barrister officially crowned him the “King of Fuji Music,” a title he proudly bears.
In 2014, Osupa made his mark in the hip hop scene with the single Vanakula, produced by K-Solo.
He later dropped ‘African Beauty’ featuring Yetunde Omobadan and Womi featuring rapper Seriki in 2015.
His groundbreaking fusion of Fuji and hip hop culminated in the release of Non-Stop, his first Hip Fuji album, in 2018.

Acting career
Beyond music, Osupa has also carved out a space in Nollywood, featuring in over 30 Yoruba films such as Eni Eleni, Ose Maami, Ashiru Ejire, and the Olokiki Oru trilogy.
Controversies
Osupa has had a long-standing rivalry with fellow Fuji musician Wasiu Alabi Pasuma.

The feud, which led to the release of numerous diss records, spanned several years and persisted despite multiple reconciliation efforts between 2010 and 2012.
