Tragedy in Plateau as vigilante leader killed in Bokkos ambush

The Plateau State Police Command has confirmed the tragic killing of Julius Mangai, the 45-year-old head of the vigilante group in Butura Kampani Village, Bokkos Local Government Area.
According to intelligence reports obtained by Zagazola Makama, the deadly attack occurred at approximately 6:30 p.m. on Saturday. Mangai was reportedly ambushed by unidentified assailants while driving back from a mining site in his vehicle.
“The sources said the assailants stabbed the victim in the neck, leaving him with grievous injuries.”

Following the attack, he was rushed to Dung Clinic in Bokkos for treatment, but medical personnel later confirmed his death.
Authorities have urged locals to stay alert and promptly report any unusual behavior that may aid in apprehending those responsible for the crime.
