INEC receives petition to recall Senator Natasha

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has officially received a petition seeking the recall of Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, who represents Kogi Central Senatorial District in the National Assembly.
The petition was submitted on Monday and received by INEC Secretary, Rose Oriaran-Anthony, marking the first formal step in the recall process. Under Nigerian law, constituents have the right to demand the removal of an elected official through this procedure.

INEC is expected to review the petition, verify the signatures, and determine the next steps. If the legal requirements are met, the commission may proceed with a referendum to decide the senator’s fate.
