Rivers crisis: Two more lawmakers withdraw from impeachment plot against Fubara, Odu

In a significant development in Rivers State politics, two members of the State House of Assembly Hon. Barile Nwakoh and Hon. Emilia Amadi have reportedly withdrawn their support from the impeachment effort targeting Governor Siminalayi Fubara and his deputy, Professor Ngozi Odu.
Hon. Nwakoh represents Khana Constituency I, while Hon. Amadi serves Obio/Akpor Constituency 2.

Addressing journalists in Port Harcourt, the two female lawmakers urged their colleagues to halt the impeachment proceedings against the governor and his deputy.
The latest development came barely 24 hours after two members of the House, Hon. Silvanus Nwankwo and Hon. Peter Abbey, earlier backed out of the impeachment plot against Governor Fubara.
