Niger Gov Bago dissolves SUBEB to reform basic education system

Niger State Governor, Mohammed Umaru Bago, has announced the immediate dissolution of the Niger State Universal Basic Education Board (NSUBEB), including the office of the Board Secretary, as part of major reforms in the state’s education sector.
The directive was disclosed in a statement released by the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Alhaji Abubakar Usman. According to the statement, the move is aimed at repositioning the basic education system for greater efficiency, transparency, and improved service delivery.

The statement further directed all members of the dissolved Board, including the Secretary, to hand over all official documents, assets and responsibilities of the Board to the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education.
Governor Bago expressed appreciation to the outgoing Board members and the Secretary for their service and contributions to the growth and development of basic education in the State and wished them success in their future endeavors.
