Court sets November 20 for judgment in Nnamdi Kanu’s terrorism trial

Justice James Omotosho of the Federal High Court in Abuja has fixed November 20 as the date for judgment in the terrorism case involving Nnamdi Kanu, the detained leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).
The decision was announced on Friday after Kanu failed to commence his defence within the six days earlier granted by the court. Despite being given adequate time to present his case, the IPOB leader did not utilise the allotted period.
Justice Omotosho stated that Kanu cannot claim to have been denied his constitutional right to a fair hearing, noting that the court had afforded him every opportunity to defend himself in the matter.
