Dr Bernard Mohammed Doro was born on January 23, 1969, in Kwall, a quiet community in Bassa Local Government Area of Plateau State.

Despite facing financial challenges, his determination to succeed never wavered.

Dr Doro holds multiple degrees across different disciplines, including Pharmacy and Law.

He also earned an MBA focusing on IT-driven business strategy and a Master’s degree in Advanced Clinical Practice.

With more than 20 years of professional experience in the United Kingdom, Dr Doro has worked with the National Health Service (NHS) as an Independent Prescriber and Advanced Clinical Practitioner.

He has served in urgent care, walk-in centres, general practice, and hospital settings, gaining vast international exposure and leadership skills.

Beyond his career accomplishments, Dr Doro is a family man, married with children.

5. Appointment

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu nominated Dr Doro as a Minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria in a letter dated October 21, 2025, signed by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy.

His nomination follows the elevation of Prof. Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda, who became National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) after serving as Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction.
