Nottingham Forest sack manager Ange Postecoglou after just 8 games in charge

English Premier League club Nottingham Forest have parted ways with their manager, Ange Postecoglou, after just eight matches at the helm.
The decision came shortly after Forest’s 3–0 home defeat to Chelsea on Saturday, which extended their poor run of form.
“Nottingham Forest Football Club can confirm that after a series of disappointing results and performances, Ange Postecoglou has been relieved of his duties as head coach with immediate effect,” the club announced on X. “The club will make no further comment at this time.”
Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis was seen leaving his seat before the final whistle at the City Ground, and confirmation of Postecoglou’s departure came soon after full-time.

Postecoglou had taken over on September 9, just months after leading Tottenham to Europa League glory. However, his time at Forest yielded no victories and six defeats from his first eight games. Marinakis has now moved swiftly, leaving the club searching for a third manager this season.
Speaking ahead of the Chelsea clash, Postecoglou remained defiant about his record, saying that whenever he is given time at a club, it always ends “with me and a trophy.”
Reports suggest former Burnley and Everton manager Sean Dyche is being considered as a potential replacement.
