Nottingham Forest edge closer to Champions League dream with win over Man United

Nottingham Forest took a major step toward securing a Champions League spot as Anthony Elanga’s brilliant solo goal sealed a 1-0 victory over his former club, Manchester United.
The Swedish winger, who joined United’s academy at the age of 12, delivered a moment of brilliance, sprinting 70 yards before calmly slotting the ball into the bottom corner to give Forest an early lead.
His decisive goal not only secured three crucial points but also underscored his growth since leaving Old Trafford.

The win was both clinical and historic, as it marked Forest’s first league double over United since the 1991-92 season.
Additionally, it was their 13th clean sheet of the season, highlighting their defensive resilience, while United’s struggles continued with their 13th defeat of the campaign.
Forest remain firmly in third place in the Premier League, holding an eight-point advantage over fourth-placed Chelsea. With just a handful of games left, they are on the brink of securing their first European campaign since 1996.
