Bauchi Senator Samaila Kaila defects from PDP to APC

The Senator representing Bauchi North, Dr. Samaila Dahuwa Kaila, has officially defected from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

His defection was formally announced in a letter read by Senate President Godswill Akpabio during Tuesday’s plenary session.

In the letter, Senator Kaila attributed his decision to the lingering internal crisis within the PDP, which he said had made it difficult for him to continue his political journey under the party.
