Dangote Refinery slashes petrol price by N30

The Dangote Petroleum Refinery and Petrochemicals has announced a ₦30 cut in the ex-depot price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), commonly known as petrol.
In a statement on Tuesday, Anthony Chiejina, Group Chief Branding and Communications Officer of Dangote Industries Limited (DIL), revealed that the price adjustment will take effect from August 12, 2025.
With the reduction, petrol from the 650,000 barrels-per-day refinery will now sell for ₦820 per litre, down from the previous ₦850. Chiejina also assured Nigerians of a steady and uninterrupted supply of the product.

“As part of our unwavering commitment to national development, Dangote Petroleum Refinery assures the public of a consistent and uninterrupted supply of petroleum products.
“In line with our dedication to operational excellence and sustainable energy solutions, Dangote Petroleum Refinery will commence the phased deployment of 4,000 Compressed Natural Gas (CNG)-powered trucks for fuel distribution across Nigeria, effective August 15, 2025,” the statement reads.
