Police arrest man for alleged possession of human part in Anambra

A 25-year-old man, Sam Eze, has been arrested by the Anambra State Police Command for allegedly being in possession of a suspected human body part, sparking fear and outrage among residents.
The arrest took place at approximately 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 5, 2025, in Wisdom Community, located in Awada, Idemili North Local Government Area of the state.
According to a report by security analyst Zagazola Makama, Eze was apprehended by local vigilante operatives, who noticed him behaving suspiciously while carrying what appeared to be a fresh chunk of human flesh, reportedly a female breast.
“One Eze, aged 25, of Awada, was seen with what appeared to be a fresh human breast,” said the source.

The community’s vigilante group immediately contacted the police, who responded swiftly and took Eze into custody.
During an initial interrogation, the suspect allegedly told investigators that the item had been handed to him by an unidentified “brother.”
The suspected human breast has since been transferred to the mortuary at Borromeo Hospital for preservation and further pathological analysis to determine its origin.
