Israel-Iran air war hits day 6 as Trump demands Iran’s ‘unconditional surrender’

Iran and Israel exchanged fresh missile strikes on Wednesday, intensifying a brutal air war that has now entered its sixth consecutive day, despite a dramatic appeal from U.S. President Donald Trump calling for Iran’s “unconditional surrender.”

According to the Israeli military, Iran launched two missile barrages targeting Israeli cities in the early hours of Wednesday. Sirens wailed across central Israel, and explosions were heard over Tel Aviv as Israel’s air defense systems engaged incoming projectiles.

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) reported intercepting a majority of the missiles, but damage assessments are ongoing. Initial reports suggest minor structural damage and several injuries in the greater Tel Aviv area, though no fatalities have been confirmed.

In retaliation, Israeli fighter jets carried out multiple strikes deep into Iranian territory, reportedly targeting military installations in the provinces of Khuzestan and Isfahan.

Iran’s state media claimed several sites were hit but maintained that its air defenses repelled most of the assault.

The renewed hostilities follow nearly a week of escalating conflict, which began after a series of covert operations and cyberattacks attributed to both sides.

The situation has since spiraled into a dangerous air campaign, drawing global concern over a potential broader regional war.

With no signs of de-escalation, fears are mounting that the conflict could engulf other regional powers or disrupt global energy supplies.

The international community remains on edge, watching closely as the Middle East teeters on the brink of broader confrontation.
