Niger govt launches ward development project with grassroots sensitization campaign

The Niger State Steering Committee on Awareness and Sensitization has officially kicked off its campaign for the Ward Development Project, with the launch event taking place in Suleja Local Government Area.
The initiative is being led by Hon. Phalal Bako Mohammed, the State Commissioner for Rural Development and Chair of the Steering Committee.
Following the launch in Suleja, the committee proceeded to Lapai and Agaie, where it held extensive engagements with local communities and key stakeholders. Discussions centered around the objectives, structure, and implementation strategies of the Ward Development Project.

During the sensitization visits, communities were encouraged to take ownership of the development projects within their wards.
“The importance of community involvement in driving local development and empowering citizens with the knowledge needed to support the project’s success.” he stated
The next stops on the Emirates tour include Borgu, Kagara, Kontagora, and Minna.
