Police officer fatally shot by DSS operatives during confrontation in Delta

A serving police officer has been allegedly shot dead by operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS) in a shocking incident that unfolded in Ibusa, Oshimili North Local Government Area of Delta State.
The tragedy reportedly occurred around 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, April 23, at the residence of a businessman, where a confrontation had been reported.
According to details shared by counter-insurgency expert and security analyst Zagozola Makama, police officers had responded to a distress call when the fatal altercation occurred.

“The lifeless body of Police Constable Michael Isuwa, attached to 48 PMF Ahoada in Rivers State but serving at Henric Garden, was found in a pool of blood in front of the residence.
“The police officer had reportedly been shot by DSS personnel under unclear circumstances. The situation was quickly brought under control by local authorities.
“Seven DSS officers and two civilians have been arrested in connection with the incident. The body of the deceased has been taken to the Ibusa General Hospital Mortuary for autopsy,” the report said, adding that investigation into the matter is ongoing.
