Ezenwafor emerges PDP governorship candidate for Anambra 2025 election

Chief Jude Ezenwafor, a prominent real estate developer based in Abuja, has clinched the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship ticket ahead of the November 8, 2025, Anambra State election.
Ezenwafor emerged as the party’s flag-bearer after a peaceful primary election held on Tuesday at the Prof. Dora Akunyili Women Development Centre in Awka. He ran unopposed, being the sole aspirant who purchased and submitted the party’s nomination form for the governorship race.
Retired Colonel Chijioke Onwubuya, who led the PDP national committee overseeing the primaries, officially declared Ezenwafor as the winner following the conclusion of the exercise.

Despite running unchallenged, the party ensured a democratic process by issuing ballot papers to each of the 853 accredited delegates—including 839 local government delegates and 14 national delegates—who wrote Ezenwafor’s name to affirm his candidacy.
The national delegates were the first to vote, followed by delegates from the 21 local government areas of the state. The exercise was hailed as orderly and transparent.
