PDP, APM sign MoU to battle APC in 2027

In a move signaling a united opposition front, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and the Allied Peoples’ Movement (APM) have deepened their collaboration ahead of the 2027 general elections. The two parties formalized their partnership through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed in Ibadan, Oyo State.
The signing ceremony, held at the PDP South-West Secretariat, brought together party leaders, political stakeholders, supporters, and governorship aspirants from both parties. The agreement underscores ongoing efforts to strengthen opposition politics and present a formidable challenge to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in the lead-up to the next elections.
Seyi Bamidele signed the agreement on behalf of the PDP, while Oladele Oyadeji signed for the APM.

Governor Seyi Makinde and the National Chairman of the APM, Yusuf Dantalle, also endorsed the agreement on behalf of both political parties.
The development is being viewed by political observers as part of wider opposition realignments ahead of the 2027 elections, with parties seeking stronger alliances to challenge the APC at both state and national levels.
