The Kaduna State Police Command has officially disassociated itself from a viral social media video featuring Hadaina Hussaini, popularly known as Dan-taki, who was seen dressed in a police uniform while making provocative statements regarding the recent Uromi killings.

Responding to the video, the Command clarified that Hussaini is not a serving officer of the Nigeria Police Force, nor does he hold any official affiliation with the Kaduna State Police Command.

According to a statement released by the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Mansir Hassan, Hussaini was once a volunteer with the Police Special Constabulary—a non-permanent unit made up of civilian volunteers—but was dismissed two years ago over misconduct.

Images of Hussaini circulating online, which show him dressed in a police uniform, were reportedly taken prior to his dismissal. The uniform bears the tag ‘PSC/KD’, indicating his former status within the Special Constabulary, and not the regular personnel of the Nigeria Police Force.

DSP Hassan confirmed that Hussaini has been arrested and will be charged to court following the conclusion of preliminary investigations, in line with existing legal frameworks.

The Kaduna State Police Command reaffirmed its dedication to professionalism and warned against the spread of hate speech and incitement capable of disturbing public peace.

Meanwhile, the State Commissioner of Police, CP Rabi’u Muhammad, urged residents to remain calm, vigilant, and proactive in reporting suspicious activities to security agencies.
