Messi left out of Argentina’s World Cup Qualifier squad due to injury

Football icon Lionel Messi has been ruled out of Argentina’s squad for their upcoming FIFA World Cup qualifiers due to injury.
The 37-year-old forward recently made his return to Inter Miami’s starting lineup in Major League Soccer (MLS), helping his team secure a victory over Atlanta United. However, he picked up an injury during Sunday’s match, forcing him to miss Argentina’s crucial fixtures.

The defending World Cup champions are set to face Uruguay away before hosting arch-rivals Brazil in their latest round of qualifiers.
Argentina currently sits at the top of the South American qualifying table, leading second-placed Uruguay by five points. Brazil, meanwhile, is in fifth place, trailing Argentina by seven points with six matches remaining.
