Fresh U.S. strikes in Yemen Kill 53, including children – Houthis

Yemen’s Houthi rebels have reported fresh U.S. airstrikes against their forces, with the death toll rising to 53, including five children. The latest attacks hit targets in the Al-Jawf and Hudaydah regions early Monday, according to a statement from the Iran-backed group.
The U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) confirmed that its forces had conducted further operations in Yemen but did not provide casualty figures. Washington has ramped up military action against the Houthis in recent months, citing the group’s repeated attacks on Red Sea shipping.

The Houthis, who control much of northern Yemen, have vowed retaliation. Meanwhile, humanitarian groups have raised concerns over the rising civilian toll as airstrikes continue in the war-torn country.
This latest escalation comes amid broader tensions in the Middle East, with fears of further regional instability.
