Bandits abduct 7, including children, in Kwara community

No fewer than seven persons have been abducted by suspected bandits in the Isanlu Isin area of Kwara State, sparking fear among residents of the community.
According to security analyst Zagozola Makama, the incident occurred on Thursday night when armed men stormed Gaa Oloyin Manasara, Eleyinvia, shooting sporadically to create panic before whisking away their victims.
Those abducted were named as Adamu, male, 70 years; Olanrewaju, male, 1 year 2 months; Soliu, male, 1 year 3 months; Fatima, female, 27 years; Salamotu, female, 25 years; Ramota, female, 23 years; and Adijat, female, 3 years.

Sources said security personnel, vigilantes, and local hunters were quickly mobilised to the area and have since been combing nearby forests to track down the assailants.
Authorities have given assurances that efforts are underway to secure the release of the captives unharmed and bring those responsible to justice.
