Police declare Fatima Abubakar missing in Yola

The Nigerian Police Force has declared Fatima Abubakar missing after she vanished from her home in Yola South, Adamawa State, on Friday, July 18, 2025.

According to a public alert issued by the Adamawa State Police Command, Fatima reportedly left her residence around 9:00 a.m. and has not been seen or heard from since. The alert, which was shared by prominent security analyst Zagazola Makama, has sparked growing concern within the community.

The notice, signed by Police Public Relations Officer Suleiman Nguroje, reads: “MISSING PERSON ALERT – ADAMAWA STATE
“Name: Fatima AbubakarAge: Approximately 14 years
“Residential Address: No. 19, State Low Cost, Yola South Local Government Area, Adamawa State.

“Fatima Abubakar was reported missing after she left her home at about 9:00 a.m. on Friday, 18th July 2025, and has not been seen since.

“Members of the public with any useful information regarding her whereabouts are kindly urged to assist in locating her.

“If seen or found, please contact:• Office of the Police Public Relations Officer, Adamawa State Police Command• Mr. Abubakar Wakili Abba.

“Your cooperation in helping to trace Fatima is highly appreciated.”

As at the time of filing this report, authorities are continuing efforts to locate Fatima and are counting on public support to bring her home safely.
