Tinubu set to visit Kano today

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is set to visit Kano State on Friday to offer his condolences following the passing of Aminu Dantata, a revered businessman, elder statesman, and philanthropist.
The visit was confirmed in a statement released on Thursday by Sunusi Bature, spokesperson to the Kano State Governor.
During his visit, President Tinubu is expected to commiserate with the Dantata family, the Kano State Government, and the people of the state over the loss of a man widely regarded as one of Nigeria’s most influential figures in commerce and community development.
He described the visit as “a show of national unity and respect for the people of Kano and the legacy of the late industrialist.”

Governor Abba Yusuf urged Kano residents to receive the president warmly and peacefully, upholding the state’s well-known tradition of hospitality and reverence for leadership.
The condolence visit follows the recent death of Alhaji Aminu Dantata, whose lifetime of philanthropy, public service, and investment left a deep and lasting mark on lives across Nigeria.
Authorities have put necessary security and logistical arrangements in place to ensure the president’s visit is conducted smoothly and with dignity.
