Zamfara vigilantes eliminate notorious bandit leaders

In a decisive move against insecurity, members of a local vigilante group in Zamfara State have successfully eliminated two of the region’s most feared bandit leaders Kacalla Maijikka and Me Dada.
The bold operation took place on Wednesday in Garagi village, situated in the Mayanchi district of Maru Local Government Area. According to local reports, the vigilantes launched a well-coordinated assault on the criminals’ hideout, resulting in a fierce and deadly confrontation.
Me Dada, infamous for leading violent attacks on rural communities, was reportedly beheaded during the raid, while Kacalla Maijikka was neutralized on the spot.
Both men were said to be responsible for numerous abductions, killings, and cattle rustling incidents that have plagued Zamfara and its neighboring states.
It was gathered that the vigilantes had ambushed the criminals after an intelligence gathering on their location.

In addition, Kacalla Maijikka, another notorious bandit leader known for kidnapping and extortion of huge ransoms from his victims was killed by the local vigilantes.
Sources said Maijikka was also known for killing his hostages after the payment of hefty ransoms.
Confirming the incident, the Zamfara Police command spokesperson, DSP Yazid Abubakar said, “I’m aware that the two bandits were eliminated.”
