Nigeria Customs officer killed in terrorist attack in Kebbi

A Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) officer, DSC S. Muhammad, has been tragically killed in an attack by suspected Lakurawa terrorists at the Maje Border Outstation in Bagudo Local Government Area, Kebbi State.
The violent incident occurred around midnight on Saturday when the assailants reportedly stormed the Customs post. The attackers shot the officer and subsequently set his patrol vehicle ablaze before fleeing the scene, according to local reports.
Muhammad’s body has been deposited at the Federal Teaching Hospital in Birnin Kebbi while his burial arrangements have been scheduled to take place on Sunday.
The attack has sparked panic among customs officers at the border areas, with many expressing fear and concern for their safety.

Threats by the Lakurawa terror group has created an atmosphere of tension and unease, making it challenging for officers to discharge their statutory duties.
The incident was the latest in a series of attacks on security personnel and civilians in Kebbi State, highlighting the need for increased security measures to protect lives and property.
