2027 election: PDP can’t defect Tinubu without unity – Dele Momodu

Prominent Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chieftain, Dele Momodu, has sounded a strong warning to his party ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
According to him, the PDP stands little chance of unseating President Bola Tinubu if it remains divided and disorganized.
Speaking during the monthly program aired on the Broadcasting Corporation of Oyo State (BCOS) on Tuesday, Momodu emphasized that a fractured opposition cannot pose a serious challenge to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
Momodu said, “The APC is jittery of the PDP. They know it is the only opposition party that can challenge its dominance in 2027.
“This is one of the reasons why the leadership of the APC at all levels is ensuring that the party is factionalized.

“Another challenge is the problem within the party. Some of its members are being used to work against its stability and progress.”
Momodu added that only a strong coalition can remove Tinubu from office in 2027.
“Also, whoever would contest favourably against the current president must come from the opposite direction in terms of regions in Nigeria,” he said.
