Osimhen, Lookman left out as Super Eagles announce squad for Unity Cup clash against Ghana

Super Eagles head coach, Eric Chelle, has made some surprise omissions in his latest squad selection ahead of Nigeria’s Unity Cup showdown against Ghana.
Notably absent from the team are top forwards Victor Osimhen and Ademola Lookman, raising eyebrows among fans and pundits alike.
The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) confirmed the squad list on Wednesday afternoon, with the Napoli striker and Atalanta’s Lookman also set to miss the upcoming international friendly against Russia.

Despite the high-profile absences, the squad sees the return of some familiar faces.
Goalkeeper Maduka Okoye is back in the fold, alongside midfielder Frank Onyeka and forward Kelechi Iheanacho. Nigeria’s most-capped player, Ahmed Musa, also makes a return and is expected to lead the team as captain.
